Red Vase Twisted

Red Vase Twisted

This 8 inch tall vase was turned using a 3-point multi-axis method to generate the gentle spiraling twist. Wood is a mystery (maybe Butternut) and the finish is a blood red dye, diluted. Watco oil buffed on the Beall system completed the finishing process.
Thanks Russ. I diluted the dye with alcohol to tone down the original color. Color is not something I use very often, but sometimes it is worth trying different finishes.
