Red Oak replica of Frank Lloyd Wright planter from Robie House in Chicago,
Karl Koch

Red Oak replica of Frank Lloyd Wright planter from Robie House in Chicago,

Built blank from red oak lumber, 15" on a side(approx 21" corner to corner), originals were cast concrete and as large as 60" on a side, Fumed, dyed, carved, ebonized, and finished with spar varnish, The original wright design did not have the carved decorations, This is just a scale model as I hope to make the next one twice as large.
@odie You are very kind. I am somewhat of a FLW nerd and so this was a labor of love for me...and also a bit of a stretch for my skill and experience levels.
