Primordial, Evolution

The piece on the left is Bloodwood and was turned, carved and the tail burned with a fine tip woodburning pen. The piece on the right is Bubinga and was turned and carved. The tails on both pieces were carved off the lathe. Both pieces are about 1.75" dia x 6" long. Danish oil, 0000 steel wool and Briwax were used to finish both pieces.

Ed, I really like this series you are doing. Great surface treatment on the Bloodwod piece. I am particularly drawn to the shape on the Bubuinga piece. I love how it stands on the coil.
