Organized chaos

I just finished this commissioned piece. The overall height is 24”x13”. The sphere its self is 4” in diameter. The woods are sapele, rosewood, maple, and walnut. Every aspect of this was made by me including the brass wire and the brass finial that threads on to suspend it. The brass wire was twisted using 10 strands of solid brass wire I did it that way so I could exactly match the diameter of the hole it would be strung through. I turned the brass finial as well.
