This piece was an experiment and has become one of my favorite pieces
@Glenn Lefley
what you use does not matter. It’s how you use it. If you look through my work you will see every kind of finish lacquer, poly, CA, epoxy, varnish, 2part lacquers and polys, acrylic basically I use everything. What matters is how you apply it. The grain needs to be filled properly. The coats need to be built up properly with proper cure times. Some finishes won’t allow you to go thick they will crack. So know your finish. Next is time and effort. It’s not production friendly unless your using expensive UV cured lacquers. Sanding and buffing is the final key and it requires time and care. Study up on sanding and buffing. Hint YouTube and car finishing.

Thank you.im a carpenter and painter. With three different spraying systems. Couple gracomsprayers and lemmer lacquer system . Wasn’t really asking for an education but your technique.thanks for sharing. I was merely asking what you used on this piece as I was admiring the beautiful finish you got on it.
