My Molten Valentine

My Molten Valentine

Maple, 8” diameter with dye and leaf.
This is the finished demo piece I did for the last class of my latest beginner woodturning class. The students have all been excellent but this last batch was impressive. I had them make proper ogee curves on the back, turn a wide rim and add color. Since the last class was on Valentines Day I made mine red...then added the copper/red leaf tonight.
