My COVID Vacation

My COVID Vacation

These were created following an IRD done by Laurent Niclot on using a woodburning tip to carve, and add color using a dry brush painting method. The title is a play on words, reminiscent of the essays I was forced to write about what I did on my summer vacation upon returning to school in the fall. I used the lockdown to acquire new skills in making. I'm really enjoying this. I have several pages in my sketchbook of designs and patterns I plan to use.
Beautiful colors, style is great, surface finish is artistically done. I see C-19 has not had a dire effect.

Wonderful pieces, Donna. Love the patterns, textures and especially the coloring.
