Monkey Pod Vessel

Monkey Pod Vessel

This piece is 11.5 x 11.5. The wood is figured Monkey Pod (South America). The opening is embellished with copper reactive paint, copper wire, ink and textured copper reactive paint with patina solution applied. Although hard to see in this photo, there is also a "cold cast" copper ring just below the textured area. I did post another vessel made from this wood a couple of months back. I was not sure what it was at the time. Several folks thought it was Koa but it is definitely Monkey Pod.
