Liquid Oxygen

15.5" bleached Walnut. This piece originally looked fairly bland but I could see the color and figure underneath all of the darkness of the Walnut but it was very muted. The title comes from one of the chemicals that I use to make my own wood bleach...but it also seemed very fitting for the unusual colors and figure patterns of the spectacular piece of wood. NO color has been added. I am not sure what species of Walnut this is, but after bleaching, it doesn't really matter as I have never seen walnut look like this before OR after bleaching.
