Leaf Edge Bowl

8" dia. x 3" h, Apple, turned and carved.
I love the richness of Apple wood and you done a beautiful job carving the rim. Dave has said it well. Nice work.

Thanks, guys for the nice comments. I really want to receive other people's thoughts ...good and bad ... so I can learn. Dale

I like it too. Are the underside of the leaves carved in layers too. If not, I think that would be nice so that your fingers would find the texture when you grab the rim.

There is a nice flow to this.

I like S. Clark's suggestion re. carving the leaves in layers on the underside. Unfortunately, I did not carve them. In the future I'll think of "undersides" that aren't seen but can be felt. I'm sure feeliing the texture would improve the piece. Thanks for the suggestion. Dale
