Kumiko Vase

The feature ring in this segmented vase is made using Kumiko patterns, which is a Japanese style of woodworking. The two patterns are Asanoha and Yotsuba Izutsu-Tsugi and are made using basswood and filled with resin. The vase is made from Cherry, walnut and maple and is 24” tall x 9.5” diameter.
Amazing! You combined two of my favorite forms of woodworking, and did so beautifully.
