Keepsake Box

I was recently asked to make a keepsake box that would be big enough for a watch and wallet. I used some walnut that I have had for several years so I wouldn’t have to wait for the wood to dry. The body is end turned and the lid turned oriented as a natural edge bowl would be. The box is about 6” wide and 9” tall, the lid is dyed black and the finial is African Blackwood. This has been finished with Danish oil and Beal buffed.
