It's ON FIRE !!!

I should have stopped turning when the fire began! (Just kidding) This whimsical 'flaming' vase was turned from butternut using on-center and multi-axis methods. The twisted upper portion was carved, colored and torched to create the flame patterns. Height is 6 inches and diameter is 4 inches. The unique grain patterns even helped the
flame effect. A textured ring was added near the top of the vase for interest. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
