Hubblescape
This piece is for our clubs November President's Challenge which is a collaborative challenge. Stacie Grange and Bill Tilson teamed up to create this piece a couple of Saturdays ago. We wanted to incorporate coloring, inlay, off center turning, texturing, and carving. The inlays were done off center with a jig, the texturing and carving was with a rotary tool and power carver, and the coloring by airbrushed acrylics and dyes. The finish is wipe on oil and matte lacquer finish on the black.
Material: Pecan, maple, rosewood, bubinga, acrylics, dyes, oil, lacquer.

Size 9 X 1
Stacie and Bill - This piece is outstanding with a lot of work. I am looking forward to seeing it this weedend. Hubblescape is a definite winner in my book.
