High Desert

Maple platter with airbrushed dye, texture and acrylic. 8.5 inches diameter. Spent the day turning and outlining the process for this piece. I’ve been picked as one of the regional demonstrators for SWAT this year and they want me to do my airbrush. Simplified the original design and had to write up the handout as well. Fun project but it took waaaay too long. Lol.
Very nice. simple and a good thing to teach. I'm looking for a good simple subject for my air brushing demos. Right now I'm just doing some fall leaves. Congrats on being selected for SWAT. I'm trying to figure out a way to go this year but there are several obstacles in my personal life that might interfere

@john lucas Appreciate that. I hope things settle in a favorable manor for you. I’ll be at several events this year, hopefully we can catch up. Was great talking with you in person at Tennessee.

@Richard Coers ...user error. Lol. Bad eyes, too lazy to move the light and I cut the Frisket material in the wrong place(s). Too far into the project and can use this as an object lesson during my demo. Fully admit I was rushing to hit a deadline. Fortunately SWMBO has already laid claim to this one for her private collection.
