Escaping With Nature, Ascending

Symbolizing how the beauty of nature can lift our spirits above the chaos and hardship of our circumstances.

From my Escaping With Nature series, this piece is 6" high and the balloon is crafted from flame boxelder. I used light fast dyes and white acrylic for the water features, butternut for the basket, and charcoal and stone for the base.

The piece was submitted but not received into the POP exhibition "Elements." As you can see, it has in it earth, water, wind, and fire represented.
