1916 spalted maple.

Completed 10/12/2020. I'm getting really "gun shy" of purchasing spalted woods. I just purchased two very nice looking spalted maple blanks, and both of them were unusable.....an expensive mistake!!!!! The trouble is evaluating blanks from pictures. The best method is to inspect endgrain for torn grain from the saw......but, this is not always evident on photos........This one, however, turned out nicely. 9 3/4 x 2 3/4. Originally, it was 16% mc, and took 6 mo after roughing to stabilize. It sold fairly quickly.
What a beautiful spalted bowl Odie! Really like your design of the bowl and the finish is outstanding. Well done indeed!
