Colorful Collaboration

I turned this vessel about 6 years ago when my wife, Kelly asked me to turn a fairly bland piece for her to burn and paint. We had worked together on some other vessels previously. Well, she lost the desire after she started and to make a long story short, she finished it just a month or so ago. 6 years in the making but I think she did a great job.
I hope I can inspire her to work with me on more projects. This is 7.5 x 9 curly maple. Turned by me ...Pyrography and watercolors by Kelly Prosise.

Love the shape and especially the colors when they bring emphasis to the grain. What a beautiful art piece and combined effort.
