Carved segmented turning.
D

Carved segmented turning.

9 inches in diameter and stands 3 1/2 in tall. This is my first shot at carving a segmented turning. The woods are sapele, maple and walnut.
Thanks!
I got the sapele from a woodcraft store here in Michigan. The wood was on sale for $3:50 a board foot. Couldn't resist buying the 84"by11"by1" board for $23.

I too an into segmented turning and shortly will have my first go at carving, I hope mine turns as well as yours has.
