Blount Twist

This 6-inch tall half-twist bowl was turned from an old Magnolia tree that fell near the historic Blount Mansion in Knoxville, Tennessee. Members of my turning club (Smoky Mountain Woodturners) are making items from the magnolia and other fallen trees on the Blount Mansion property to support their upcoming fund raiser. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
