Black Gum Bowl

Black Gum Bowl

This 6 inch diameter bowl was turned from spalted black gum. The wood was a little soft in places, but the variety of grain and spalting patterns made the effort worthwhile. Wire burn lines and simple pyrography dots were added to the rim. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
