I have just finished of this piece for a gallery in Auckland and is the second attempt at making a vessel and doing this leaf design as I dropped the first piece and smashed it.
Design is Pyrography and painted with iridescent paint.

Dale, I just use the piece as a canvas and it's just a stylized leaf design I use on my pieces. One of my Releaf series (horoeka) has a leaf design that is very like the real thing a NZ Lance Wood tree leaf.
