Bastao Bowl

Bastao Bowl

If you look closely, you can see the 'bowl' in the center of this cross-section of Bastao wood. Turning the bowl was a little frustrating, especially with the desire of the end grain to splinter, but the end result made it worth it. The grain colors and patterns in this South American wood are very beautiful and deserve to be highlighted. Size is 9 by 10 inches and finish is Watco oil, buffed on the Beall system.
