It's only toxic if you ingest it or inhale it's fumes, it is not toxic to the touch, although some people can be sensitive to it and can cause skin irritation. I am not sensitive to it, and can handle it all day long without any issues. We have lots and lots of Oleander, and we're constantly trimming it down, so I have quite a plethora of branches and twigs. As far as precautions, as I said, I'm not sensitive to it, so no special precautions. I filled up a 32 oz cup with branches and twigs, then filled with resin. It's been cured and sitting on the kitchen table for about 2 weeks, so I thought I'd make a twig pot outta it. Since it's just for me, I don;t have to worry about it although I did seal it with a couple coats of CA.
