I guess I'm not the first person to have trouble with an order from Steebar.
Does anyone know how to deal with these people? They don't answer email or their phone. Maybe someone near Peapack, NJ could go knock on their door for me.

SO, Nothing has changed. I ordered from them and received nothing! No answers to e-mail's. I called and they answered the first time and as I expressed a complaint they hung up on me. They never did provide me my order nor my money back. :mad: As I said nothing has changed, this happened to my about three years ago.

For what it's worth, they used to have an Andover, NJ address before Peapack, and I live in Andover, NJ. I was never able to find a physical location that had real people working in it. If I was to guess, I would expect that it is some mom and pop outfit with a garage full of stuff in their spare time.

I've never ordered from them, so I have no experience in dealing with them.

Now I find that Steebar operates under more than one name. Same address and phone number though. I guess they're business plan is to just keep looking for new customers rather than service the ones they had. I origonally placed a small order and was happy. Now I've placed a large order paying with a postal money order and now I can't contact them. Could this be postal fraud?

Technically, I live in Byram Township in Forest Lakes. When I come to the main road, if I turn left it's Andover. Right, it's Byram Township. And actually, until you get to the top of the hill, it's considered Andover.

You must know the area to know that level of distinction...?

Now, don't ask me where Andover and Andover Township lines are...

I lived in Byram for 20 years, in Forest West by Sparta-Stanhope Road. My daughter went to Byram schools and graduated from LVR in 2006.

And as to the boundary between Andover Township and Andover Boro, who cares?

I landed in Texas almost five years ago, when my company said "Texas or no job".

And does it annoy you that Woodturning Design says their editorial offices are in Stanhope when they are really on Waterloo Road off 206?

You know what annoys me about Woodturning Design? When Joe Herrmann is in the area, and he doesn't reach out to me for a shop tour! (are you listening Joe?)

I moved here 15 years ago, and we really like it. I tell people I live in lower Sussex County, and in the good section of Byram

Call the county or city attorney's office. Or you could send a letter with return receipt requested. If you get the delivery reciept and no action, then go to the attorney's office.
