I have a oneway vacuum adapter and was curious whether anyone knows if it can be used on 1840 Jet. My new Jet has an outboard headstock fine thread spindle that measures .745 inches. The oneway vacuum adapter has a removable insert with 1-1/4 x 8 threads. I got the oneway adapter in an auction and it was used on an older grizzly. The insert is what I need and am having difficulty locating.

Call ONEWAY - I am fairly sure they have an adapter but they would know for sure.

you want a stronghold Chuck adapter.
If you know the thread size. Should be in the owners manual.
You can look on the ONEWAY site or screen shots below.

Your thread are probably 3/4x16 LH. But check with the owners manual or ONEWAY

The vacuum adapter insert for the Powermatic 3520A and B is a special one. (don't know about the C) If the Jet 1840 is as much like the Powermatic as it seems, perhaps that adapter will work.
