The newer type is the same as on the new pro tek
Here’s a side profile. Dovetail for mortise and elongated for tenons. I didn’t open the package because someone would think I used them.

You know that those jaws look no different than Nova jaws I've had for over 20 years. Every set of my 2" jaws look like that. Am I mistaken?
