Blood Moon Blackened Bowl
Carol Hall

Blood Moon Blackened Bowl

9" x 3.5" oak bowl from a tree we took down this winter. Turned, blackened with a vinegar and steel wool solution and painted with acrylic and gilders paste.
Golden Fluid and Liquitex Soft Body. They don't get all plasticy, like cheap or thicker brands. Do you paint? What do you like to use?

@Carol Hall I am just exploring and experimenting with adding color to woodturnings. I have used aniline dyes and pigments added to shellacs. Nothing at this point to post pictures
